The system provided <a href="MPEG2" class="mw-redirect" title="MPEG2">MPEG2</a> video, audio, signalling, enhanced program guide, and <a href="Conditional_access" title="Conditional access">conditional access</a> for pay-television services like <a href="AlphaStar_(satellite_broadcasting_service)" title="AlphaStar (satellite broadcasting service)">AlphaStar</a>.
